Gentoo up-to-date stable, XFCE 4.4.3, Thunar 0.9.3.

I copy some file
When clicking some desktop icon, then choosing Desktop the "Paste" menu option is inactive.
If I open any folder (for example: "Desktop" folder) I can paste the file using the "normal" menu (Edit -> Paste)

I have this same issue too, running Thunar v: 1.2.2

This bug has been bothering me for a very long time now. See for example Debian Bug #578293 (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=578293). I can reproduce it always with the following setting under Arch (Thunar 1.2.3 right now):

 * I always have "View as Compact list on".
 * Change to "View as icons".
 * Copy a file with CTRL+C.
 * Paste file with CTRL+V (in same Thunar window) does nothing.
 * After this, CTRL+V never works again (regadless view mode), until I close the Thunar window and open a new one.

Note, that previously this only seemed to happen with image files (JPEG), but maybe that was just my impression, as right now, it fails with all files.

Thanks!

Please reopen if this is still an issue with the latest Thunar release.
