Created attachment 2060 see text above would it be possible to show the bookmarks like "Recent Documents" and not to open thunar (similar to Windows Startmenu). That should be to open a submenu like the submenu in Places/Recent Documents and when there is a subfolder in the bookmarks(folder) to open it in a submenu and so on and so on. The background is, I have my notes organized in folders like computer, logs, food, infos etc. The notes all are in .odt-format (Open document > OpenOffice.org), because I must have the possibility to open and edit it in Win and Linux. In Win I've added a symbollist to the taskbar (see attachment screenshot) and it would be great when linux shows the same behavior as Windows.
I got a similar request from Enzo Matrix in February: > for example: to use plugin to show (files and/or folders) content of custom folder like '/home/e01/Desktop/', and with click to open it, may be with xdg-open will be good idea. > I think that this can be verry useful for creating dynamic menues. > > I was trying to write somethink like this, but i think, that your plugin will be very suitable if, can do this. > If you want I can send you my work to now. And this one from Mike in 2007: > Someone on #xfce asked for a plugin which could show a folder. I guess > your plugin is the perfect candidate for this. Could you add an option > (something like a tree list, or a simple textentry for the beginning) > which shows the directory in the menu and its files in a submenu?
The directory plugin in the 4.8 panel can do this.
