When a terminal window is resized (open/close 2nd tab or resize the window), the window decoration shows black parts and misaligned buttons. I see this on 2 laptops (nvidia and intel driver).

Glitches with box resize

With box resize (hide window content) it gets even weirder...

FYI the first screenshot was only open/close a 2nd tab. Other screenshot was resize the window by hand.

That's most likely a bug with the video driver. Terminal uses ARGB32 (eeek!) and many drivers don't work well with this.

Try with another driver if possible or switch from EXA to XAA.

Yup you were right, it was a bug in the nvidia driver. Can't reproduce it in the 180.22 version:

* Fixed a regression that could result in window decoration corruption when running Compiz using Geforce 6 and 7 series GPUs.

Still weird why it also showed on an intel based laptop, but that could just be bad luck. Closing bug.
