The Thunar version I'm using is 0.9.0, which is not an option in the Version drop-down on this Bugzilla page. I'm using Thunar on Ubuntu (Linux for Human Beings!) version Hardy Heron -- I'm not making any of this up, I'm copying it from the Ubuntu help page.

I would like to use accessibility to control the Thunar application, but the main file/folder display is opaque to accessibility. I reported this on the Thunar mailing list and the consensus was that:

a) it is a bug.
b) this was a bad time to report the bug because development had entered feature-freeze.
c) I should report this bug so it is not forgotten.

My work here is done.

I also experience this problem and believe it is known, could be that custom widgets are used in the main view area of Thunar preventing Orca reading them. The treebar side view does work.
