This problem has been fixed.
ehm... fixed.
(In reply to comment #2) > ehm... fixed. I should have investigated the problem further before posting. This is localized to the e17 window manager. XFCE does not follow in the beavior reported. When you say "fixed" was the reference made to thunar running in XFCE or E17?
It was fixed running gnome... which has nothing to do with the problem. You should get the latest -svn version.

Not too experienced with XFCE. Didnt see the one package, thunar, so I got everything. Are there any guides posted that you could refer me to. Or what exactly I should build out of the "goodies"? thank you
ok help.... svn'd everything or so I thought. Turns out wallpaper plugin is not in the normal goodies repo. When I found the page that mentions it is available in svn I was happy. When I saw the error that "Trunk" was not a file tht was found I became sad. The web browsing svn link also shows it as a broken link. Can you provide a direct link to the package?
The wallpaper-plugin is merged inside thunar. Upgrade thunar fixes your problem.
Found it, appreciate the tip. By the way, if you are one of or the developers working on Thunar I want to say thank you for your work! Thunar is a wonderful application that I think is far superior to the other choices avaiable. My p3 outperforms sual core p4's thanks to well written light weight applications like Thunar. (applause) Thanks for your help
