What window manager settings show differs from the actual behavior

Description David Mohr 2008-11-06 00:24:47 CET
I just upgraded from 4.4.2 to beta1. When I open the settings dialog, see "Click to focus" model being selected, but my system actually has the focus follow the mouse.
That's what I had selected before in 4.4.2, but Brian said that there is no migration script for xfwm yet.

Also I have snap to other windows selected, but it doesn't actually do that. (It does snap to the screen border though, which is also selected).

Once I select and then deselect the settings, they apply correctly.

After logging out and back in, Window Manager Settings again says click to focus, although it does focus following the mouse (what I had set before).

But raise on click, which I deselected before, remains deselected.

FYI, in xfconf the property is not set:

dmohr@eta ~ $ xfconf-query -c xfwm4 -p /general/click_to_focus
