Mouse Pad version 0.2.13 (Not an entry on the "Version" drop down)

Hi All,

I love Mouse Pad. I almost use it as must as VI for system
administration. And, the CR-LF save option lets me administer
my Windows stuff as well. Thank you!

Okay, now that you are all buttered up, would you fix the
"File, Open Recent" function such that it rotates the oldest files
out. Right now, it fills up and won't enter anything new or
age out anything old.

Many thanks,
-T
p.s. the more files you can add (I like about 10) to the recents, the better.

I'm not sure I understand what's going on. What version of Mousepad/GTK+ are you using? We just use the GtkRecentChooser(), and it's currently set to show 10 files, most recently used first.

I do think I have figure this out. I think the problem is Thunar.

If I open Mouse Pad directly, then use the "File", "Open" pull down, my
recents rotate as desired.

If I open Mouse Pad through Thunar, Thunar will often jam,
leaving Mouse Pad (and File Roller, etc) as a "Zombie"
(/usr/bin/gnome-system-monitor wording for it). Then my
recents do not rotate. I have to kill Thunar to get Thunar
to work again. (Thunar is very temperamental that way, exiting
processes get made into "zombies", then Thunar jams.)

Thunar has so, so may problems. I don't know why I continue to
use it. I just like the thing.

So, I will leave it up to the developers judgment, but I do believe
this is not a Mouse Pad problem. Unless they think they can figure a
way around Thunar's problems, as Thunar does not look like it is
going to get any better any time soon.

Closing this bug. But as I've never have this problem with Thunar I would highly suggest you file a bug report against Thunar.
