Description qqqqqqqqq9 2008-09-28 12:22:02 CEST
Hi

i use F1,F2,F3, ... to switch desktops instead of ctrl+F1 or alt+F1. Unfortunately this means, i'm unable to assign commands to key combinations like alt+F1 or ctrl+F1. Using this shortcuts simply does nothing.

Works here. Need to remove the shortcuts from the WM settings that you want to use, and then assign them commands in the keyboard shortcuts dialog.

Doesn't here.

Perhaps my description wasn't precise enough.

If i assign a shortcut to F2 in xfce-settings-show under window-manager (? Fenstermanager in german) and another shortcut to alt-F2 in the window-manager dialog both work.

If i assign a shortcut to F2 in xfce-settings-show under window-manager (? Fenstermanager in german) and another shortcut to alt-F2 in the keyboard (Tastatur) dialog only the first one works. When i remove the first one, the second starts to work.

I don't mean the on in the window manager dialog but the top level one.
