If I enable a top panel on my desktop, not set to auto-hide, many applications (Java applications like XXE, or also normal applications like Firefox) start with their titlebar under the top panel!

This makes impossible to move them around the desktop.

I am using Openbox as window manager

OK, I found that I had to set the desktop margins in obconf
