I have started it and seems to works : TOSHIBA-A100 polytan # ps ax | grep -i wpa 31236 ? Ss 0:00 /bin/wpa_cli -a/etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_cli.sh -p/var/run/wpa_supplicant -iwlan0 -P/var/run/wpa_cli-wlan0.pid -B 31985 pts/2 R+ 0:00 grep --colour=auto -i wpa TOSHIBA-A100 polytan # wpa_supplicant -u dbus_bus_request_name[dbus]: Resource temporarily unavailable Could not request DBus service name: already registered. Failed to initialize wpa_supplicant => already launched, seems to work the only message I have from airconfig is : The wpa_supplicant daemon is not running; Airconfig cannot function without it. Please see the Airconfig documentation for more information. BUT, wpa_s is a daemon. (see ps ax) Reproducible: Always
Current default dbus config file installed by wpa_supplicant (on Gentoo at least) disallows access from regular users. You'll need to fix that. Regardless, I'd suggest not using airconfig. It's currently unmaintained and buggy.
