I'd like to make gamin/fam a semi-hard dependency of thunar-vfs, in that configure will error out if it's not found, except that we'll provide a --without-change-notification option for people who really don't want gamin/fam support.  The idea is to reduce the (surprisingly large) number of people who ask "how come every time I create a file on my desktop, I have to hit F5 to see it?"

I was looking through acinclude.m4, and I'm not sure what the best way would be to add this without just doing away with BM_THUNAR_VFS_MONITOR_IMPL(), since it only really checks for gamin or fam anyway.

What do you think?
