When copying files lets say from CD to a HD and IO error happens while reading the file thunar does not handle the situation very well.
I would expect something like in mc - "can no read source file - skip? retry? abort?"
Currently the copying process hangs and theres not much u can do especialy if you forgot to turn off "locking" of the cd tray.
