After verifying the settings of the Focus tab in the Window Manager setup,
I tried again to move the mouse around to get the windows to autoraise.
They obtain focus, but do not auto-raise.

Background:  Gentoo machine with xfce4 originally installed via "emerge".
Installed BETA2 into /usr/local using GUI installer, then renamed each 
of the old Gentoo-installed executables (did I get them all, hmmm) in
/usr/bin.  uname -a: Linux mlsrock 2.4.25-gentoo-r1 #6 SMP Sun 
Jul 11 15:19:25 EDT 2004 i686 AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2000+ 
AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux
