Description Bartek Chaber 2008-06-27 18:52:17 CEST
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; pl; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052912 Firefox/3.0
Build Identifier:

When I try to unpack password-protected *.rar archive thunar, and whole XFCE stops responding. I can move cursor around, but cannot click anything.
It's of course because of password prompt and an unrar waiting for user to enter the passphrase.

Thunar 0.9.0 (Xfce 4.4.2)
UNRAR 3.71 beta 1 freeware

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get an archive protected with passord
2. Open thunar
3. Select this file and from menu choose "Extract here..."

Actual Results:
You can move your mouse, but you are unable to click anything.
CTRL + ALT + Backspace is the only way I know getting me from this situation

Expected Results:
Maybe we should be prompted to enter the password?

Mass reassign. Nick, please check these pending reports. Thx.

This is fixed at least in 4.12. Attempting to extract a password-protected rar will show an error dialog "An error occured" when using Xarchiver, with a blank error box. Opening the archive directly via Xarchiver's "Open" dialog will indeed make Xarchiver display "Opening archive, please wait..." indefinitely.

But using File-Roller instead of Xarchiver correctly pops up a password dialog box, so the problem appears to be in Xarchiver and no in Thunar-archive-plugin.
