I suggest an option (or default setting) of not showing emblems at small icon sizes. I'd love to disable previews at icon size 16x16 as well, but I guess no one else than me would want that. Most people probably wouldn't cry if the 16x16 emblems vanished though, as they're illegible anyways. Reproducible: Always
In the sidepane the small emblems are still visible. I get your point, but its better to behave consistently, because I'm sure if we do this there will be reports "my emblems disappear with small icons".
