The datetime properties dialog displays the following text in the calendar section of the dialog.

"The information on which day the calendar week starts is derived from the locale."

This is true and informative for users who know what "locale" means in this context. Unfortunately, the word "locale" is not commonly used in settings or properties dialogs. IMO, this info would be more appropriate on a help or FAQ page.

The calendar section of the dialog offers no properties that can be set, so it could probably be removed. (Although it would be a nice enhancement if three consecutive calendar months could be displayed at a time.)

See also bug 4104, comment 9 and bug 4099 (which proposes a help page).

I think it should just be on the wiki page.

Putting help and notes on a wiki page would be fine with me, if there is a link to it from the plugin.

Is this the page you mean?
http://goodies.xfce.org/projects/panel-plugins/xfce4-datetime-plugin

I had trouble finding it, so that is why a link from the plugin would be helpful. I first tried http://datetime.xfce.org, but that does not exist.

There's now a help button in the preferences that takes you to the web page (r4884).
