Now that PulseAudio is installed by default in both ubuntu and fedora, it would be nice to have individual application volume settings like pavucontrol in the xfce4-mixer applet.
This way you wont need to use pavucontrol for probably the most useful feature in pulseaudio.

Jannis is writing a gstreamer based mixer. Maybe ask him to include a feature like that?

We talked about that at the Ubuntu Developer Summit in December. The PulseAudio backend in gst-plugins-good only provides one mixer track. Personally, I see this as a bug and it should probably be forwarded to gst-plugins-good.

This is a bug in the GStreamer backend for PulseAudio, so definitely not in the mixer.
