When I start the session manager, it asks if i want to create a new session. When I select New session there is a popup window which asks the name foer new session. My problems is that I can not type anything into that window. The only possibility is to get back and not select anything. $ xfce4-session --version xfce4-session 4.1.90 (Xfce 4.1.90)
Please do: rm -f ~/.cache/sessions/xfce4-session* rm -f ~/.config/xfce4-session/xfce4-session.rc and try again afterwards.
Tested. Did not help. Still not possible to name new sessions.
the field becomes writeable if I start window manager (xfwm4 or mwm) from another session while the new session name query is on the screen. Will test more later.
Sorry ! I close this.This has nothing to do with Xfce. Kdm somehow messes it up. it works with xdm and plain X.
