RESOLVED: DUPLICATE

Description Forest 2008-04-11 05:03:09 CEST
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.13) Gecko/20080325 Ubuntu/7.10 (gutsy) Firefox/2.0.0.13
Build Identifier:

When dragging a file from a Thunar window to the Thunar-managed desktop, the desktop highlights my target area (with an icon-sized square) while I drag. This leads me to expect that my dropped file icon will appear where the square was on the desktop. I'm surprised to find that it appears in a default location instead.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Choose "Allow Xfce to manage the desktop" and "File/launcher icons" in the
Xfce Desktop Preferences.

2. Drag a file out of a Thunar window and over the desktop. Note the square frame that follows your mouse as you drag.

3. Drop the file where you want it to appear on the desktop.
Actual Results:
The file icon is created at the left edge of the desktop.

Expected Results:
The file icon created where I dropped it.
