You can preview the default position for unattached notifications using the Xfce settings plugin of notification-daemon-xfce. However, you can use the Preview button just once to make it display a notification.

If you want to try different positions (or other possible settings in the future), you won’t be able to do this quickly.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Xfce settings manager
2. Choose Notification Settings
3. Click Preview

Actual Results:  
A notification window pops out. The Preview button cannot be used anymore after this. You have to close the settings window of the plugin to make it usable again.

Expected Results:  
You should either be able to make a new notification window appear after the old one was closed or be able to make an arbitrary amount of windows appear.
