(Version 0.2.13 is missing from the list)

Hi,

using mousepad 0.2.13, the Recent menu lists a (greyed) item, wich says "No items found", while there sure are items in the list.

Cheers,

I can't reproduce this bug with the latest version.
Please check if this bug still occur with new version.

Still happens here at least.

It still happens with 0.3.0 (the re-write) ? Does it work in gedit or other GTK+ apps?

OK. I'm hoping to do some Mousepad work soon and I'll look into it. If anyone feels like fixing it directly, attach it and I'll review/commit it.

Closing this report.
Comment 7 Yves-Alexis Perez editbugs 2019-06-24 16:19:43 CEST
Is there a reason for closing this report? It still happens in 0.4.1 and I can't find a commit listing a reference to this bug in git.
Comment 8 Theo Linkspfeifer editbugs 2019-06-24 17:01:11 CEST
I closed it as "works for me". Based on the lack of activity I assumed that it should work fine in the 0.4 series (GTK3).

Does Mousepad update ~/.local/share/recently-used.xbel when you open or save a new file?
Comment 9 Yves-Alexis Perez editbugs 2019-06-24 21:42:13 CEST
Ok there is a bit of misunderstanding here actually I think. My expectation is that the “Recent document” menu would be synchronized with the “Recent document” from freedesktop (in both directions).

It seems that opening a document in mousepad will feed the recent document menu in Mousepad and the ~/.local/share/recently-used.xbel file (and thus for example the Recent documents menu in Places plugin), but the opposite is not true: if one opens a document in a different application, the file will be added to ~/.local/share/recently-used.xbel but not Mousepad menu.
Comment 10 Theo Linkspfeifer editbugs 2019-06-25 22:11:18 CEST
That is true. Mousepad will only add its own entries when parsing the ecently-used.xbel file.

In my case it matches the expectation (Geany does the same).
