hi! i love xfce and its projects.. specifically thunar and mousepad.. say, how hard would it be for mousepad to come with utf-16 support? (yes.. i couldn't find a way to request a feature, sorry)
I believe Mousepad 0.3.0 can handle UTF-16 (BE and LE) files correctly, even though sometimes it can't recognize files encodings automatically. Please check if it works for you.
Yeah, new versions should handle most encodings, only that it doesn't have great auto-detection abilities, which is very non-trivial, but this is a separate bug. Closing as fixed since it can't be reproduced with lastest version, which is a total re-write of version this bug is about, and which is no longer maintained or supported. Please feel free to re-open and update the version on this bug or make a new report if you experience it still in latest version.
