Xinerama. Two X screens. Small screen at absolute +1920+0, large screen at +0+0. Actual Results: New apps launched appear on the small screen that have to be resized to fix on that screen. Expected Results: Windows shouldn't have to be resized.
I do not understand this bug: - Xinerama or 2 X screens? - In Xinerama, unless specified (by the application) newly mapped windows are placed on the screen where the mouse pointer resides - But the application can specify a position and the WM will honor this. - Is the window too small or too large? The WM will not make a window larger than the screen but an application can configure itself differently - That leads to the last question, does this happen with all apps or just one app?
I'm no longer a user of Ubuntu or xfce4. Here's what I recall: 1) Xinerama 2) Windows automatically placed on small screen, but with a size too large.
