User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071219 Firefox/2.0.0.11
Build Identifier:

xfce4-session always uses ~/.cache to restore a saved session.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Save a session
2. Restart the PC a few times

Actual Results:
Session is still there

Expected Results:
All contents of ~/.cache should be erased when a session is restored

I couldn't figure out why compiz kept starting after I removed it from 'autostarted applications'. It turned out to be my saved session from a few weeks ago...lol

Here's the session "" if it helps -

This isn't a bug. If you remove an app from your session and don't save the session, it will remain in your session. Files don't get arbitrarily removed from ~/.cache/ -- they remain there until you delete them. The idea of that folder is just that it's data you can clean out or don't need to back up, and probably won't miss.
