To make xfmedia-remote a "complete" solution for remote controlling it will be good idea to add commands like: xfmedia-remote --rewind (skip -10 seconds) xfmedia-remote --forward (skip +10 seconds) xfmedia-remote --vol_up xfmedia-remote --vol_down xfmedia-remote --toggle_mute
I don't work on xfmedia much anymore; feel free to cook up and submit patches. What *really* needs to happen is a new dbus interface that makes sense and works well, followed (or preceded) by a big internal reorganisation, but I don't really have the time or motivation.
Xfmedia is unmaintained.
