When creating a new window, the current view is used in the new window frame before the program is loaded. Can also be seen when restoring a window.
It can sometimes confuse atleast me.

This is most vissible for slower programs like OpenOffice but can also be seen for other windows (like menu) when there are alot of other tasks.

My suggestion if it's not to hard is to directy fill the frame with for example shadow, gray or normal background(white). I think it would make the gui seem more robust and more trusty.

This is only if it's an easy fix and some other people think the same.

I'm running with Composite on.

Best regards

No it is not so simple.

What you see is the application window. Some application specify no background and this shows with random background (whatever is in vodeo memory at the time).

I already reported this to Xorg here more than a year ago:

    https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8558

But as you see, I've been told this is not from upstream but from patches added by the various distributions.

So, if this what you mean here, this is not a bug in xfwm4 and should ne closed as invalid.
