Why? I find this less convenient and consistent.
On the other hand, that would be more consistent with other implementations.
I have multiple workspaces so that I can work on different things with an easy switch. If I minimize all apps on my 'devel' workspace, my mail and office programs on an other workspace shouldn't be affected IMHO... It just seems unnatural to perform actions on windows I don't even see...

I fully agree with that and hope that this bug is not just tagged as an "enhancement" bug. Is there any chances that this bug gets higher rated?
