The terminal=true property isn't getting passed over from appfinder to menueditor. Not sure who's fault it is, but it's not xfdesktop's.

I was going on the description of xfdesktop being the source for the menu, thanks for clarifying. I tried adding terminal=true to the menu.xml, but still no go.
Close bugs in products that are not active anymore.
