I like to change opacity settings to some apps (e.g. audacious) but when I close them I lost my setup. Im not sure if this is a bug, but its pretty annoying yet. so, my apologies if Im in the wrong place

Nothing to do with xfdesktop, and I suspect nothing to do with Xfce either, but we'll see if someone else has any ideas.

As long as you close a window, all current settings related to that window (window size, position, etc) are lost, this is normal.

As for saving compositor specific customizations with session management, well, that would be doable but I am not really convinced it's worth the effort.
