User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20061201 Firefox/2.0.0.6 (Ubuntu-feisty) Build Identifier: Using a right-click action (unmount, open term here, etc) causes an auto-hidden panel to stay in the open position... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Put 'places' on a panel that is set to auto hide 2.Rightclick a location within the plugin and select 'open terminal here' 3.The panel won't close again until you restart the panel This might be a faulty implementation of the auto-hide feature in xfce4-panel, since I've seen this behavior before somewhere... My guess is that the panel should 'poll' if the mouse cursor is above the panel and/or one of the plugins has focus...
I was able to reproduce this bug in 1.0beta1. Thanks for reporting it, and I'll have it fixed for 1.0.
Fixed in svn revision 3004 http://svn.xfce.org/diff.php?repname=xfce-goodies&path=%2Fxfce4-places-plugin%2Ftrunk%2Fpanel-plugin%2Fview.c&rev=0&sc=0
Fix confirmed... Thanx! Could you have a look at the clipman code too? It has the same behavior: it pins an autohidden panel if you select an item from the list...
Harold, Yeah, I *could* look at the clipman code...please give me the bug number. -Diego
