Hi,

a debian user reported that it would be nice if the xkb plugin could display something differently if the user has two variants for the same layout (for example "us,dvorak" and "us,". Hi proposed a patch attached to this bug report, in case you find it useful.

Please make this change if at all possible. This makes the keyboard toggle not nearly so useful, as I can't distinguish between "US" and "US-Intl". Thank you so much.

The patch posted here by Yves-Alexis Perez (dated 2007-07-22) worked as advertised. I now have the labels of my two keyboard variants showing up as I toggle between then. Thanks, Yves-Alexis. This had been a very irritating problem for me, since I was spoiled that KDE's similar applet.

I wish this patch would be integrated into the app.
