When I select a text with a mouse selection I can middle click to paste it.  However this doesn't work with Verve, because when I focus the text entry, it does something that kills the clipboard (it replaces the clipboard with an empty string).

I can reproduce this, but I'm unsure how to fix it at the moment.
Trying to select text also seems a bit strange (you can only select part of the text if you start with your mouse in the empty area.) Not sure if this is related.
