It would be nice to have an option to have the Xfce trashcan be able to access the Gnome or OS/X trashcan. Admittedly one will not have access to the meta information of where the original file is, but at least one has the option to see that it's there and remove it. Perhaps non-compliant trashed files can be highlighted or dimmed in some way to indicate that they are there. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
