User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20061201 Firefox/2.0.0.3 (Ubuntu-feisty)
Build Identifier:

When one alternates between using, or shares media between computers which use a Desktop such as Gnome or Mac OS/X which doesn't follow Freedesktop spec for the Trashcan, then one has a problem with files lost in .Trash and .Trash-$USER directories that aren't accessible in the standard trashcan.

It would be nice to have an option to have the Xfce trashcan be able to access the Gnome or OS/X trashcan. Admittedly one will not have access to the meta information of where the original file is, but at least one has the option to see that it's there and remove it.

Perhaps non-compliant trashed files can be highlighted or dimmed in some way to indicate that they are there.

Reproducible: Always
