User-Agent: Opera/9.20 (X11; Linux i686; U; en) Build Identifier: I'm using Squeeze with the Thunar archive plugin. When I right-click a directory and select "Create archive", an archive-creation dialog pops up, with the "Name" field filled with the directory's name, and the "Save in folder" field filled iwth the current directory. These are very sensible defaults, except that pressing the "New" button doesn't actually create the archive -- instead it navigates into the selected directory. To actually create the archive, I need to manually add the extension in the "Name" dialog. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Right-click on a directory in Thunar 2. Select "Create archive" 3. Press "New" button Actual Results: Dialog navigates into the selected directory. Expected Results: An archive is created from the contents of the directory, with the name same as the directory, but apropriate file extension added, depending on the selected archive type. One possible solution would be to always add the extension in the "Name" field. Another possibility would be to disable the default behavior and just don't enter the directory which name is etered in the "Name" field.
squeeze is not maintained anymore, closing.
