User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.2) Gecko/20070221 SeaMonkey/1.1.1 Build Identifier: Selecting Autostarted Applications does not show the Beagle Search Daemon running. From Gnome I started Beagle Search Daemon using the Session tool. I logged out of Gnome and back into XFCE. I ran Autostarted Applications and Beagle was missing from the list of applications. I confirmed Beagle was running as a daemon. I opened .config/autostart/Beagle Search Daemon desktop config file. I edited the Beagle desktop config file and added the attribute "Type=application". Upon reopening Autostarted Applications Beagle now appeared in the list. Perhaps consider using Type=application as a default when the attribute is missing in the config file to show Gnome services which do not add this attribute. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Startup Beagle Daemon 2. Run Autostarted Applications 3. Beagle is missing in the list Actual Results: Beagle Search Daemon did not show in the Autostarted apps list. Manually editing the desktop config file was necessary to make Beagle appear in the list. Expected Results: Opening Autostarted Applications after adding the Type=application attribute allowed Beagle to appear in the list. Beagle Search Daemon would be visible in the Autostarted apps list if it is running on startup.
Nope. A missing Type= field means an invalid .desktop file. I'm not working around bugs in other apps for this.
