User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.0.3) Gecko/20060523 Ubuntu/dapper Firefox/1.5.0.3 Build Identifier: Mousepad is a nice little editor, but it would be useful to have syntax highlighting for programming purposes. I realize this would require a different widget, and would increase starup-times quite a bit, however. Just my 2 cents, whatever they're worth. Reproducible: Always
Mousepad 0.5 (so after we released a stable 0.4 from my 0.3 branch), will have support for this, but using a plugin/module based system. I haven't really digged into this, but I think it's possible with an attach system (although that requires a completely new object to do this).
Probably won't see this in a long time, but I'll leave the bug open.
I think this bug should be closed because Mousepad now supports syntax highlighting for lots of languages.
Fixed in latest versions.
