All my Xcursor themes (in ~/.icons) also visible in icon theme selector (ui_plugin). When I select one of them accidentally, all gtk apps crashes simultaneously.

icon theme or Xcursor theme? Anyway, it's a gtk bug:

Yes, gtk applications crashes when I try select Xcorsor theme as icon theme. Ok, I realize this is gtk bug. Anyway, I advise don't include themes whithout  "Directories" key in index.theme to theme selector.
