If I type 'sudo wireshark' in the verve plugin and hit enter instead of ctrl+enter the X process hangs waiting on user input that you can't ever enter. The mouse still works and you can ssh in and kill the X session remotely. Killing sudo doesn't return keyboard "focus" to X. I don't know if this matters but I start X with startx and I have "exec startxfce4" in my .xsession.
Can't reproduce this here. If I e.g. try to mount a remote filesystem via FUSE and SSHFS (which asks for a password on my machine), nothing hangs.
I have the same problem, i tried to run ssh but pressed enter instead of ctrl+enter. the process ssh had 99.9% cpu usage, but even after killing it X hang although I could still use the mouse. xfce version 4.4.1 verve version 0.3.5 Linux 2.6.18-gentoo-r4 #5 PREEMPT Sat May 26 19:33:18 CEST 2007 i686 Unknown CPU Typ AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux
I can reproduce this easily by running sudo <cmd>. While waiting for sudo passwd, everything hangs. It really sucks when you forget to push ctrl+enter instead of just enter.
