Something that annoyed me is that inorder to be able to use the real transparency feature you need XFWM4 which makes this XFCE dependent.
Allright yes i will be flamed to death because of this, i know that Terminal is a XFCE application. But still i find it pretty annoying that it REALLY needs XFWM4 inorder to use the real transparency.

xcompmgr running under openbox, blackbox, fluxbox etc wont give you real transparency. And yes i do have all the needed libraries and they are all up to date since this works under XFCE, which means my libs are OK.

I would love to see the real transparency supported under xcompmgr

You should avoid the use of caps/shift. That way it would look less silly... anyway, real transparency has nothing to do with xfwm4. xfwm4 is just one of the window managers that handles ARGB32 windows and features a composition manager (i.e. newer metacity and kwin also support this). Real transparency will work with other compliant window/composition managers as well. I don't know about xcompmgr with black/open/fluxbox, but if real transparency doesn't work there, it's a bug in the window manager not Terminals fault.
