Iam here doing a feature request where you can choose in the properties dialog to either use your native GTK Theme scrollbar OR an aTerm alike scrollbar.
At the moment you can only use the standard GTK scrollbar which ends up that the terminal looks terrible if transparency is turned on. Aterm do have it's own scrollbar that can also be transparent.
I really do want to have the scrollbar i know that i can deactivate it, but i would really love to see an aterm alike scrollbar option.

Sorry, but that sounds rather silly. Is it really that important to have a transparent scrollbar? What's the use-case for such a scrollbar?

Concerning your feature request: If somebody adds transparency to GtkScrollbar, we'll happily use that. Also if somebody writes a simple widget based on GtkScrollbar that offers transparency.

Well what's the use of having an application look well?
Infact i see the feature to have an transparent background pretty useless if you cant have a transparent scrollbar either. The application do just look terrible with such a combination.

If this really do sound so pointless, then i guess aterm gains some users again.

Well, I don't mind if you use aterm. You're the one to choose. As said, if somebody is willing to contribute a patch, feel free to do so.

You could use no scrollbar at all. Even transparent scrollbar looks ugly, imho :)

(you may want to wait for next murrine gtk engine version too)
