On http://xfce-diary.blogspot.com/2006/03/transparent-terminal-hack.html, you posted a patch (http://foo-projects.org/~benny/tmp/transparent-hack-Terminal.patch) which requires a VTE patch. I implemented transparency with the new VTE functionality on top of your patch. My patch is attached. Maybe it's worth for applying it. Reproducible: Always
Created attachment 905 Patch to implement the functionality
Implemented with revision 24157. 2006-12-21 Benedikt Meurer <benny@xfce.org> * NEWS, configure.in.in, terminal/terminal-app.c, terminal/terminal-screen.c: Add support for real transparency with GTK+ 2.10 and a compositing manager. Bug #2671.
This transparency is XFCE dependent which means that this will only work if you are using xfwm4, example running xcompmgr under openbox/blackbox/fluxbox etc wont give you real transparency *HENCE* This is XFCE dependent
Ah, well, if open/black/fluxbox don't work properly, then it's a bug in the application? Doesn't make much sense, right? Just use a working window manager or file a feature request to *box, but don't add such stupid comments here.
