User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; fr-FR; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0 Build Identifier: Most of the time, my battery is unplugged when I work at home, because I want to preserve it from being damaged. In these circumstances, since I configured the battery plugin to run "hibernate" when it reaches critical level, my computer automatically hibernates at the end of xfce startup, which is quite disturbing ! I think critical battery level and unplugged battery state should be treated differently. (this is with Linux kernel 2.6.18.1, acpid 1.0.4 and xfce 4.3.99.2 on a Zenwalk 4.0 system) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.unplug your battery 2.start your computer and see what happens with battery plugin when it is configured to perform some action on both low and critical battery level Actual Results: perform both actions associated in battery plugin with low and critical battery level Expected Results: Should not perform these actions. Either a new configuration choice should be added for the "unplugged battery" state, or nothing should happen when the battery is unplugged
I just tested this bug with xfce version 4.4.2 battery plugin version 0.5.0 distribution: debian unstable kernel 2.6.24 compiled for amd64 and the results that with my battery removed and the AC power plugged in, the battery plugin is no longer running the low and critical battery commands that have been specified. The battery percentage shows 0% in these cases, but I do not see the results that the previous reporter outlined. I would recommend changing this bug to fixed.
