User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; it; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061027 BonEcho/2.0 Build Identifier: Very often, if you double click in the right thunar panel on a directory, you will go to that directory but it will take 6-7 seconds at 100% CPU to open it, even if it contains few or no files. Workaround 1: use the tree lateral panel to browse directory. directory access will always be istantaneous. Workaround 2: in case you get stuck, click on the previous folder on the topmost history bar, then again (on the same bar) on the directory you want to open. It will open istantly. This is very frequent, however it does never happen for directories I just opened, or that are nearby a directory I just opened. i.e. my directory tree is a -b --c --d ---e if i'm positioned in a, I will get stuck when trying to open b and get stuck again when trying to open c, but after I opened c I will (usually) not get stuck when opening d. I will get stuck again when opening e, though. Reproducible: Always Using: gentoo linux xfce-4.3.90.2 gtk+-2.8.19 glib-2.3.10.3 gamin-0.1.7 dbus-0.62-r1 hal-0.5.7-r3 linux-2.16.17-gentoo-r7 ReiserFS v3 filesystem $ emerge -pv thunar [ebuild R ] xfce-base/thunar-0.3.2_beta2 USE="dbus hal -debug -startup-notification -thumbnail -xslt"
