It would be nice to be able to define what files to hide/unhide, perhaps through a custom filter. For instance, I like to see ~ (backup) files, especially when I'm editing files on my web server... but I almost never want . files. I would probably also like to see Apple .DS_Store files (but not ordinary . files). Maybe the user could define custom patterns like "Show all hidden", "Show all but . files", etc., then select them from the menu. If this isn't too hard to implement, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm sure it would be useful for other people too.
That's handled deep within the thunar-vfs library. Not something that would be easy to turn into an option, nor something many people would care for (IMHO). Maybe we can see to this later, but for now, we leave it as is.
