User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060915 Firefox/1.5.0.7 Build Identifier: If you've got a vertical panel, then the pulldown box in the Panel Manager window still offers you the choice of "Normal Width" or "Full Width", when it's actually changing the height. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the Panel Manager (for example, by right-clicking on a panel and picking "Customize Panel"). 2. Click on the one of the vertical-position buttons. Actual Results: The pulldown box to the right says "Normal Width". Expected Results: Good question. I guess the cheap-and-cheerful fix would be to make it say "Normal Height"/"Full Height" if the panel's vertical. The user's also offered a choice for "Size" above (meaning the width for vertical panels and the height for horizontal ones). Maybe there are some more general terms that could be used instead of "width" and "height" ("size" and "length"?); an alternative would be to do away with the pulldown box, and have another set of position buttons for the full-width/height "positions" (see attached mockup).

Yes, you are probably right. I won't add it for 4.4.0, because we are in string freeze, but I will do it afterwards. Thanks for the report.
Some of this has been fixed in revision 25121.
Change this bugs a bit. The normal/full width issue has been fixed in trunk (r25121). Size is good enough for the slider name, so we're not going to change this. Only remaining idea is to change the position buttons on full expand.
This bug will be fixed in the 4.8 panel, since the whole position changer will be removed.
Devel branch has been merged in master. A 4.7.0 release will follow soon. If you think this bug is not fixed? Feel free to reopen the bug.
