Description Juho 2006-10-16 13:20:33 CEST
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060909 Firefox/1.5.0.7
Build Identifier:

Sometimes, but not always, moving a file to the trash can (on Desktop) and then emptying the trash either from right-click menuor from the Trash Thunar window makes wallpaper and desktop icons disappear, and the way to get them back is to open XFCE "Control panel" -> Desktop -> check the option that lets XFCE take care of Desktop (wallpaper, icons etc.)

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Move a file to Trash
2. Empty Trash

Actual Results:
Wallpaper disappeared from the desktop, icons disappeared from the desktop, mouse-2nd-button-menu stopped popping up from the desktop; XFCE Desktop "went off".

Expected Results:
Trash can should have become empty as it sometimes does, with no problems (the files should be deleted from Trash).

It doesn't seem to affect whether or not the trash is emptied using Thunar window's menu or mouse 2nd-button menu over the icon on desktop.

Console output? Backtrace from gdb?

Might be a dupe of bug #2394. Need output and/or backtrace to be sure.

Also need you to test against current SVN...

No response for several weeks; assuming dupe.
