Reproducible - three times tested. Summary of story: - varied folders were not copied from DVD+R - blocked hard disk for a while I have a DVD+R x16 4.7 GB RW disk almost full of backup data, some 4.2 GB - Thunar 0.4.0rc1 found and mounted that disk nicely - but Thunar 0.4.0rc1 copied only some 2.2 GB - I repeated this two times, same result - I Tested also copying with smaller parts of data, but results were as varied with the total amount of data [Zenwalk 3.0 testing - not related here, decided to clean everything] I repeated this after making a new totally clean installation of Zenwalk 3.0. Hard disk was formatted and everything. The first thing was then to copy backup data to hard disk. It occured again. This time there was copied 3.6 GB data in home folder and there was 4.2 GB data in DVD+R to be copied. Checked that from terminal and those two missing large folders were missing also according to terminal. I tried to continue test with CDs since I have only one DVD full of backup data. But now Thunar has blocked the harddrive. It won´t let me create a new folder to home folder. It allowed me add some files to certain folder but not create folder. "There is no more space left" etc. Even more strange. The files I copied to hard disk cannot be removed by Thunar. Moved to terminal: - cd (homedirectory) - cd /copy/data_copied_here - rm -r data_copied_here And suddenly thunar flashes file icons in its window. And then then rest of the files in directory /copy/ can be removed. Summary of story: - varied folder were not copied from DVD+R - blocked hard disk for a while I don´t it this related but after writing summary of the story Thunar did not recognise USB sticks, either USB1 or USB2 -sticks. => Might be a separate issue. Moving to 1.0.0final.
@Jukka: Do you still have that problem with a recent version of Thunar (something like 0.8.0 or 0.9.0 or even better with the version from SVN)?
Please reopen if this is still an issue with the latest Thunar release.
