On Zenwalk current Launch xfmedia : OK Start playing : crash Workaround : the svn version of xfmedia I built 1 month ago works ok on the same platform standard output : The program 'xfmedia' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter)'. (Details: serial 155 error_code 9 request_code 62 minor_code 0) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
I'm seeing this problem with xine-ui as well. I don't think it's an xfmedia-specific problem.
I confirm that the bug is there as long as you don't replace xfmedia "current svn" with an older version (don't remember , ~ 1 month ago) With the same version of xine-lib/xorg/system : all other xine based media players work for me.
Are you using fullscreen at all? The fullscreen handling is the only thing that's changed.
Regardless, it would help a lot if you could do what the error message asks, and paste the output here.
Xfmedia is unmaintained.
