User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux ppc; en-US; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060928 (Debian-1.8.0.7-1) Epiphany/2.14
Build Identifier:

It seems that xfwm4 can't be replaced when another window manager is called with --replace switch.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
corsac@hidalgo: openbox --replace [~]

(openbox:3800): Openbox-WARNING **: A window manager is already running on screen 0

Expected Results:
I guess xfwm4 should have received some signal and commited suicide ?

Comment 3 Yves-Alexis Perez editbugs 2007-12-21 15:04:26 CET
It seems that this bug isn't fixed, even in 4.4.2:

corsac@hidalgo: openbox --replace
Openbox-Message: The WM on screen 0 is not exiting
Comment 4 Olivier Fourdan editbugs 2007-12-23 15:44:51 CET
"metacity --replace" works for me
Comment 5 Olivier Fourdan editbugs 2008-01-21 22:40:40 CET
Fixed with rev 26585 in trunk and xfce_4_4 branch.
