Digital clock can't be set vertical, so if you use a vertical panel, it can't be set to less width than the clock.

An option to set the digital clock vertical would be nice for people that use a vertical panel of 24px for example.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set your panel vertical and 24px width.
2. Add a clock.
3. Cry while your panel becomes bigger! ;-)

The digital clock in trunk fixed this problem, but it needs a bit of polishing to look better.
